TedrosAdhanomGhebreyesussaidthenamewasdecidedthat"didnotrefertoageographicallocation,ananimal,anindividualorgroupofpeople,andwhichisalsopronounceableandrelatedtothedisease".谭德塞说，我们必须找到一个"不涉及地理位置、动物、个人或人群，同时方便发音且与疾病有关的名称"。

ThevirusitselfhasbeendesignatedSARS-CoV-2bytheInternationalCommitteeonTaxonomyofViruses.新型冠状病毒的名称则由国际病毒分类委员会指定为SARS-CoV-2。

China'stoplegislaturewillamendthelawontheprotectionofwildlifethisyear,anofficialfromtheLegislativeAffairsCommissionoftheNationalPeople'sCongressStandingCommitteesaidonMonday.Effortswillalsobemadetoacceleratetheamendmentoflawsonanimalepidemicpreventionandotherareas,saidWangRuihe,directorofthecommission'sEconomicLawDepartment.全国人大常委会法工委经济法室主任王瑞贺10日表示，全国人大常委会今年拟修改野生动物保护法，并加快动物防疫法等法律的修改进程。
